15/16U - Team Information

2012 (15-16U) will be the 6th year for this team within the Michigan Red Sox organization.

Team has been very successful winning several tournaments and competing at high quality local and regional tournaments. Team has played in Cooperstown, Black Swamp and Cal Ripken Experience.

For 2012 The Michigan Red Sox 15-16U team will be playing local and regional tournaments and some arranged scrimmage games. The summer tournament schedule is as follows:

• June 8th – 10th - Michigan Red Sox  Academy (optional): This is an optional opportunity for our players to participate in an intense and fun weekend of baseball preparation in a college setting with other Red Sox players ages 15-18 and several of the Red Sox coaching staff. Fees for the weekend are $150 per player and cover room/board and baseball instruction. More details to follow soon.

 

• June 14th – 17th – University of Michigan 16U World Series Midwest Region Qualifier @ U of M and area High Schools

 

• June 21nd – June 24th – CABA State Tournament (16U) @ St. Clair Shores, MI

 

• June 28th – July 1st – Firecracker Classic Tournament (16U) @ Eastern Michigan University and area High Schools

 

• July 6th – July 8th – Orion Charger Classic (16U) @ Lake Orion High Schools

 

• July 13th – July 15th – Mid-Summer Invitational Wood Bat Event (16U) @ Madonna University and area High Schools

 

• July 18th – 22nd – Cincy Flames Phoenix Bats Wood Bat National Championship (15/16U) @ Cincinnati, OH

 

• July 26th – 29th – OPEN WEEKEND as of now.
  
  
  Special training opportunities will be offered via the Michigan Red Sox/Motor City Pride Organization as well.
  
  Team has affiliation with The Varsity Shop Training Center for off season workouts and team/player discounts.
  
  Head Coach is former Division -1 all-conference pitcher and 5 year travel baseball coach with Michigan Red Sox.
