James joined the Michigan Red Sox at the early age of 8.  He spent one year away from the Sox when they didn't have his age level team but has always been a Red Sox player.  He concluded his Red Sox career in 2010 with a team that advanced to the Connie Mack Regionals.
 

James is currently playing for the Motor City Pride 22u team in the Livonia Collegiate League.  He attends Adrian College where he hopes to be the starting catcher for the 2012 and 2013 season.
